The Holidays Are Coming Parade & Presentation
Sat 14, 2026 - Sat 14, 2026
A parade, and the first look at what's next.
On Saturday, November 14, Independence Center opens the holiday season with its inaugural parade — stepping off at 12:00 noon from the south entrance, with Mayor Kevin King in attendance and riding aboard the Independence 76 Fire Company's restored 1960 Seagrave.
When the parade arrives, the morning turns to the future of the center itself. Robert Ferrante of Sonnenblick Development will present the plans for Independence Center's next chapter: new apartments and more, and a walkable, year-round district for the city. Guests will see the plans firsthand, meet the development team, and have the chance to ask questions.
The event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP to [email protected] so we can plan for you, and visit shopindependencecenter.com for parade route, venue and timing details.
